TRANSPYRENEES Rider Agreement

EVENT DETAILS & SERVICES

I understand the timeline including enrollment, accreditation, start and time limit.

I understand that the Fee includes: Accreditation and handbook, hand bag (<3,5kg) service from San Sebastián to Llançà, brevet card, official cap, welcome pack, finisher medal, SPOT Tracker rental, live real time satellite tracking, official media and official time on our website.

ACCREDITATION & BIKE CHECK REQUIREMENTS

I will bring the following for the Accreditation: ID document, Signed official rider agreement, Deposit fee of 100€ paid for the GPS tracker.

I will bring full ridable bicycle including the following: Reflective vest, Emergency Blanket, Lights (2 front and 2 rear), Bell, and Helmet.

COMPLIANCE & PERMISSIONS

I will comply with local laws and all instructions and regulations issued by the organization.

I give Transibérica Ultracycling the permission to use my name and any photograph, voice or video in any promotional materials or publications. I consent to and authorize in advance such use and waive my rights of privacy in connection therewith.

I will cooperate with the organization and/or sponsors in terms of media to reach maximum coverage.

I understand Transibérica Ultracycling is the owner of all rights over intellectual property, including logos, pictures and videos.

INSURANCE & ORGANIZER DECISIONS

Transibérica provides participants with liability, accident, death and emergency medical assistance insurance through the Assur Connect policy, valid during the official event period and subject to the terms, conditions, exclusions and coverage limits of the policy. Emergency extraction and repatriation are included where applicable under the policy.

I understand that this insurance provides limited coverage and may not cover all risks, expenses, losses or circumstances arising from my participation in the event. I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to review the policy coverage and determine whether it is adequate for my personal situation.

I understand that the organizer does not provide insurance advice and makes no representation that the insurance provided is sufficient for my individual needs. I am solely responsible for obtaining any additional insurance coverage that I consider necessary, including but not limited to travel, medical, health, personal liability, equipment, cancellation or loss insurance.

I agree to all decisions made by the organizers regarding the event, including route changes, safety measures, time penalties, disqualification or removal from the event.

LIABILITY WAIVER AND RELEASE FORM

  • Transpyrenees is an unsupported event, so I am solely responsible for planning and carrying out my own ride and my own assistance.

  • I understand I will not find any neighborhood services of assistance from the organization during the event.

  • Transpyrenees are not obliged to provide any event marshals: I will take all required precautionary measures in this event to ensure third parties and my own safety.

  • I understand there are risks inherent with bike riding. I am voluntarily participating in this event with knowledge of the hazards involved and accept all risks of injury, inconvenience, harm, loss or death.

  • I understand the event is being conducted on public roads to which third parties (motor vehicles) have access.

  • I understand, despite the GPS tracker provided, no one necessarily will track my position. I consider myself a competent rider and I am capable of riding this kind of events.

  • I have consulted my GP who has confirmed that I can ride this event.

  • I consent to and permit emergency medical treatment in the event of illness or injury, including transportation to a medical facility, and will be responsible for any and all related costs.

FINAL RELEASE

I wish to participate in Transpyrenees. In signing this release, I acknowledge that I understand its intent, and I for myself, my heirs and representatives, do hereby agree and will absolve and hold harmless the organizers, volunteers, sponsors, other participants and any other parties connected with this event singularly and collectively, from and against any blame and liability for any injury, illness, harm, loss, inconvenience or any other damage of any kind whatsoever, which may result from or be connected in any way to my participation in the bike event.

 

I have read the manual and the rules. I understand Transpyrenees is a ultracycling self-supported event and all that it means.
