About

Graduated in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences from the Catholic University of Murcia, obtaining a specialization and a master’s degree in the organization of sporting events. Later I continued my training to specialize in my two passions, cycling and teaching. Taking different courses and seminars (WKO5 Power Training, Training Peaks Online) and taking the University Master’s Degree in teacher training at the University of Valencia.

My eagerness to discover new places and cultures has led me to live in different cities, always using the bicycle as a tool to discover them.

Professionally I have worked in sports centers in the United Kingdom and since my return in 2018 I have been dedicated to physical preparation oriented to performance and health. Performing the function of physical trainer in the Sports Specialization Plans of the Valencian Community, at the Cheste Educational Center. Currently combined with the role of Professor of Physical Education, at Caxton College.

Cycling has always been my great hobby and in recent years I have been helping cyclists to enjoy this sport more based on optimizing their performance. Based on scientific knowledge and years of experience working with athletes of all levels.

To offer my services, I use the most advanced technological tools currently in the field of resistance training. Training plans are always designed based on the objectives, availability and specific needs of each rider, using the Training Peaks platform together with the WKO5 data analysis software.

REQUIREMENTS

For health reasons, it is advisable to have a stress test in recent months in which a specialist cardiologist rules out any type of pathology incompatible with high intensity physical exercise. This recommendation would be mandatory in athletes who have a family history of heart disease or cardiovascular accidents, tachycardia, chest pain or dizziness while playing sports.

It is a requirement that the cyclist knows how to record and download the workouts performed through any of these platforms: Garmin Connect, Strava, Wahoo Fitness, Polar flow, Hammerhead.

The rider will need to have or open a Training Peaks account.

CONTINENTAL Plan: Communication will take place just before the end of the planned 2 weeks of training by any means of communication.
PRO plan: The main communication channel is the TrainingPeaks application. In addition, the usual communication channels (telephone, WhatsApp and email) can always be used within the hours previously agreed with the coach.

TrainingPeaks is the training platform that we use to plan your workouts. In the mobile application or on the computer you will always have your workouts, as well as a direct line of communication with your coach. In this way, we can adjust the training sessions to the maximum, depending on your goals, your fitness and availability. Your TrainingPeaks account will be synchronized with your device (Garmin, Wahoo, Hammerhead, Polar, Suunto…) so that we can analyze your workouts immediately.

WKO5 is the training software that we use to analyze your training. The program shows us what is happening with the athlete, providing us with data on the athlete’s profiles and showing us valuable information so that we can make decisions in the training process.

The TrainingPeaks premium account allows a much closer communication between athletes and coaches through an efficient direct notification system. At the same time, the athlete will be able to access all the training analysis graphs. The TrainingPeaks Premium account has a cost of $ 19 / month (monthly payment) that will be covered by TRANSIBERICA PERFORMANCE if the PRO rate is contracted.

It would be interesting to start at least 6 months before the OBJECTIVE test, anyway, at any time you can start to improve the quality of your workouts.

The success of a correct training plan lies in the ability to constantly adjust the workload to the athlete and not the other way around (individualization process). More and more non-professional athletes are aware of the benefits of correct training planning that allows, on the one hand, to ensure adherence users to the activity and achieve the predetermined objectives. In the same way, it will allow us to evaluate our progress and identify if the training process is being effective.

It is highly recommended to have a power meter as it is the only reliable and real way to assess your progress in training allowing us to plan higher quality workouts and a more complete data analysis. Still, the information provided by a heart rate meter will be relevant to us, especially when combined with the information provided by the potentiometer.

No, because we are not nutritionists and we do not have the skills to do so. General guidelines will be offered on how to periodize the feeding depending on the orientation of the training to be carried out. In the same way, we will help you solve any doubts you may have in this regard, as well as facilitate the contact of a nutritionist if necessary.
